Club Profile
Located on 70 acres in Vernon Township, The Durand Sportsmen's Association offers the most comprehensive shooting sports facility in the area. As a site for both informal shooting and serious competition, the club offers a friendly atmosphere in a pleasant setting.

Organized in 1947, the club purchased 40 acres in 1959 and constructed our first Club House in 1960. An additional 30 acres was purchased in 1966. The Durand Sportsmen's Association has steadily grown while still serving the needs and desires of its membership and local community.

West of Flint, the club is easily accessible and only a short drive from anywhere in Genesee or Shiawassee County. The club facilities offer some unique shooting opportunities, especially for the avid shot gunner.

Affiliations
The Durand Sportsmen's Association is affiliated with the National Rifle Association( 1983), the Michigan United Conservation Clubs, the International Handgun Metallic Silhouette Association (1981).

Community Involvement

The membership of  the Durand Sportsmen's Association, feel that all responsible sportsmen and women have an obligation to promote and protect our shooting and hunting traditions for ourselves, our children, and for future generations.

Education is the key to realizing this goal. By sponsoring an annual Hunter Safety Program, we assist in the certification of 30 to 50 new hunters annually.

All instruction is conducted by a host of volunteers from our club membership
